I've never been that good at poetry, but it says how I feel.

I'm a woman. I'm a writer and an editor before anything else. I write every day. Whether what I write is good or bad is irrelevant. It's about the discipline and keeping my creativity going.

I am also on SuicideGirls, MySpace, and Flickr. I have a vanity blog where I post pictures of my makeup at jaydesvanity.

I like puttering around on my computer. I also play City of Villains on the Infinity server. Over there I have Jayde, a level 46 Fire/Thermal Corruptor, Spirited Jayde, a level 14 Energy/Invulnterability Brute, and Fenny, an Ice/Ice Dominator. In Guild Wars, I have two lowbie toons: Jayde Starr, an Elementalist/Mesmer and Darkest Jayde, a Necromancer/Mesmer. In World of Warcraft, I have Fenchurch, a level 60 troll shaman, Fenny, a level 36 undead rogue, and Fennie, a level 8 orc warrior. I love them all.

I have three (four depending on how you count) tattoos and plans for a few more. The one between my shoulders represents my view of everything, that it is cyclical in its nature and each cycle is divided into three parts. Birth, life, and death, for instance. The second, located on my right upper arm, is a writing collage that is both beautiful and a promise to myself -- to never go one day without writing something. I recently got two sets of three stars on my lower abdomen. There are two black stars and one shaded green star in each set. The other two tattoos I have planned are a tribute to Neil Gaiman on my hip and another half sleeve incorporating the quotation, "It is sometimes a mistake to climb; it is always a mistake never to make the attempt." I will need both the time and money to get both of those done.

I also have piercings. I am currently up to seven holes, and I think that is where it will stay. I have two holes in my right ear, three in my left, one in my navel, and one in my nose. As I said, I think this is the extent of my piercing adventures...unless I decide to get a tongue piercing sometime soon.

I am a university student who is prone to taking time off to regroup. I pushed myself far too hard in high school and in my first years of college, and now I am thoroughly burned out. I've been a communication studies major, an English major, and a graphic design major. Quite honestly, I just don't know what I want from college. I'm taking some time off until I figure that out. Better to wait it out than to keep wasting money on something I'm not sure of.

I, like creatives who have come before me, have my vices. Mine include clove cigarettes, tequila, and good red wine. I alternate between being a very open or incredibly closed off person, and once you break my trust, it's almost impossible to earn it back.

But the most important thing for anyone to know is, as I said, that I am a writer and sometimes an editor.
